Botany Bay is in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Botany Bay was where Captain James Cook landed when he reached Australia in April 1770. The area was a British penal colony for years. Now there is a beautiful reserve there and lots of bush trails. It makes for a very lovely day trip if you are visiting Sydney.
