maybe you could help me, i am an ameture model ralroader. and i fanally got a train yard, but when i bring the engine into the yard it stops and looses power. same with all the track. is there a way i can stop it from doing that?
Hi trains107. Sounds like you didn’t make “Blocks” in your track plan. You need to but electical blocks in at certain locations otherwise you will get shorts and the locomotive will lose power. Go to your local Hobby shop and get a book on Model Railroad wireing it will explain how “Blocks” work and where you should put them in your track plan.
Hairspray? Huh, I never thought about that. It would be much, much easier than my usual technique of mixing white glue and water 50/50 and brushing it on, and hairspray is pretty permanent if you’re not moving the layout around too much (it’s a great technique for diorama modelers as well).
congratulations, your work is AWESOME!
