cool!
Great video! May I ask how you would harvest strawberry seeds from the strawberry?
Also, what is the “typical” yeild of a strawberry plant, I ask that only to get a general idea concerning how many to plant.
Also, can I grow them indoors?
I do know this, you can grow them indoors, i also wondered how you get the seeds to… maybe it is the little ones on the outside?
the seeds are on the outside of the fruit, the little dimple things. and to harvest just get a few strawberries to mature and die,dry them out them shake of the seeds, shazam strawberries
The first year you won’t get much. You might want to just pluck off the flowers so the plants concentrate on rooting and such. The second year, if they are everbearing, pluck all flowers before July. Feed them Potassium, not Nitrogen.
If the strawberry is a hybrid, the plant wont’ grow true from seed. There is no telling what you will get.
The plants multiply like crazy so leave room for them to fill out and spread out.
